Is there a story to the setting for the flower? It sure caught my eye! Happy Pink Saturday (late!) Jenn (My Pink Post is Link #78-punch bowl. My comment will take you to another of my blogs though.)
If you noticed the two oo's in Flora Doora and have been
thinking I don't know how to spell, well, even though that may be true, it is not a spelling error this time.
My husband, came up with the name, Flora Doora, since my bags are designed to hang from a door! He said "you must use two oo's", and I agreed it was a cute name!
About a year later, my husband looked at me and said "Why are there two oo's in Doora!" ...What a memory!
I hope you enjoy the bags as much as I enjoy making them! Thank you for visiting my blog!
I started sewing Flora Doora
bags several years ago for
friends, and commerically for a shop in Sarasota, Florida. My
bags have also made their way to France, for a country wedding and to a pretty little shop in Nannay. Since I have retired recently, there is more time
to enjoy sewing, decorating
and most of all traveling
(especially to France) with
my husband, Peter.
"To live in so much mystery, to rely on a feeling, an instinct, on faith, that everything I need is already inside me, and best I just don't block the exit." Michelle Williams, actress.
