Flora Doora has many uses, and I am always discovering new ones. Our elderly neighbor, George, rides his bicycle around the lake every day. On his ride, he stops by our lanai and admires our flowers and likes to talk about travel. He loves to feed the squirrels too. Yesterday, I noticed he was carrying his peanuts in a plastic bag, so I decided to make him his own, peanut holding Flora Doora to hang on his bicycle.
I started sewing Flora Doora
bags several years ago for
friends, and commerically for a shop in Sarasota, Florida. My
bags have also made their way to France, for a country wedding and to a pretty little shop in Nannay. Since I have retired recently, there is more time
to enjoy sewing, decorating
and most of all traveling
(especially to France) with
my husband, Peter.
Comments from readers have made me realize how happy my Flora Doora bags make them, so I adopted the phrase "Spreading happiness one bag at a time". Makes it all so much fun!
